Community and not-for-profit

Websites for churches, charities and community groups.

Built properly, tested on every change, and simple enough for a volunteer to keep up to date. Good causes shouldn't have to choose between a decent website and the work they exist to do.

Who this is for.

Churches, community groups and non-profit or not-for-profit organisations that provide something good for their community. You don't have to be a registered charity, and informal groups are welcome to get in touch. So are parish and town councils. If you're not sure whether you fit, ask us.

One church, or a whole benefice.

Sites sized to how you're actually organised, from a single village hall to a multi-parish team.

A single church, charity or group

Service or opening times, what's on, how to find you, who to contact and how to give. Everything a visitor needs on the first screen of a phone.

A benefice or multi-parish team

One site for several churches. Shared clergy and one calendar, with each church getting its own page, officers and service pattern. Enter a person once and they appear everywhere they should.

What these sites actually need.

Learned from running real parish and charity sites, rather than bolted onto a generic template.

Service times & calendar

Weekly services and one-off events in one calendar, with an agenda for each day and search-engine-friendly event listings.

A noticeboard that tidies itself

Posters come down on their own once their date has passed. Nobody has to remember.

Safeguarding, up front

A safeguarding link on every page, and a safeguarding page that's easy to find.

Giving that explains why

Parish Giving Scheme or your own donation page, wired to the right church.

Newsletter signup

Spam-protected, with its own privacy policy, and an email template to match the site.

Findable, even down a lane

Maps, what3words and structured data, so search engines, satnavs and first-time visitors all find you.

People, entered once

Add a new churchwarden or trustee once, and they appear on every page they belong on.

"New here?"

What to expect, accessibility and parking details. Answered before anyone has to ask.

Documents a PCC must publish

A secure, virus-checked document service for church councils. See PCC Documents.

Volunteer editing

SiteAdmin lets named volunteers update their own part of the site by asking for the change.

Already live.

Real sites, run by real volunteers, tested on every change.

kingtonparishes.org.uk

Kington Parishes

Five churches (Kington, Titley, Old Radnor, Kinnerton and Huntington) on one site, with shared clergy, one calendar and a page for each church. It replaced the benefice's Squarespace site on 6 September 2026, and volunteers keep it up to date through SiteAdmin.

How it works.

  1. A conversation

Tell us what your group does and who the site is for. No jargon, no forms.

  2. A first version

On a private preview link, for your committee to try on their own phones before anything goes public.

  3. Launch

On your own domain, with the old site's pages redirected so no links break.

  4. Keeping it fresh

Ask us for changes, or make them yourselves through SiteAdmin. Every one is tested.

What it costs.

We aim to provide the highest possible quality at the lowest possible commercial price. For not-for-profit and community organisations, we provide systems and services at cost price or free of charge, at our discretion.

  • The full test suite on every change: accessibility, security and content
  • WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility, verified on every page
  • Security headers, a strict content security policy and a published security contact
  • Point-in-time backups, so any earlier version can be restored in minutes
  • Hosting on Cloudflare's global network
  • Your code, in your own GitHub repository, from day one.

How this work is funded.

Our business work, together with private support, pays for our work with churches, charities and community groups. Growing our business work is how we keep this going.

The same standards for everyone.

A church noticeboard and a business stocklist get the same checks, run before every change goes live. Building something for a business, or selling a car, bike or house? See Enterprise, Business or Personal sales, or read how we work.

Start a conversation.

Tell us about your group: what it does, who the site is for, and whether you have one already. We'll talk it through with you.
